I changed yesterday my air filter after changing it about 6 month ago. With the “old” air filter the car consumption went over 8.5 l/100Km, although I always had 5.5-5.7 l/100Km. Now the consumption is back almost to normal (5.7-5.9 l/100Km).
Recently I changed the low pressure fuel pump and the high pressure fuel pump (both brand new), the injectors (used), the turbo (refurbished), the Lambda sensor (barely used, but genuine), the clutch and flywheel and few other things. I spent with this car in the last 6 months over £4,200.
Is it possible that different air filters makes to increase the car consumption due to not allowing the air to go in the engine at a normal rate or the air filter was blocked by the moist in the air?
Also, anyone knows how to code/register the injectors in the car computer? I changed the injectors without registering them, but the car doesn’t seem to be bothered by that.
