Key Fob Issue (rare stuff)

Hi, i recently purchase a 2007 X3 with 115000 miles on it, but key fob never worked, we have to lock and unlock inserting the key in.
so i bought a new battery thinking this was the problem, and when i open the fob i saw battery - terminal was broken, i soldered it and soldered back into the fob, checked the voltage with a multi-miter and its 3V constant, so i reprogram the fob to the car:
open the IS 1 position, close, hold the unlock and hit the lock 3 times, locks inside the car went down and up.
now my problem its the following:
car will unlock from the fob but doesn't lock, i check that all the buttons on the fob are working (otherwise couldn't program it either) central locking works, unlock and lock, no fuse its wrong, i program the key around 3 times, but still truck opens, car unlock, but doesn't lock.

anyone with an opinion i can follow or a diagnostic for this?

If I'm reading this right...a day or so ago I tried the same thing.
Battery had a broken terminal....I tried to glue the broken terminal/prong. Fob didn't work! Ordered new battery installed/ soldiered battery into place...fob now works fine!
Lesson: always start with installing new Undamaged battery.
Sometimes spit and glue just will not work

got it, but i solder the battery i didnt glue, and i measure the terminals on the other side and they are fine, my key work now fine its just that it doesnt want to lock, but i will order a new battery because the one i ordered prior have terminal on both ends and the one i use has it close to each other. but thanks for the reply.

yeah terminals are not straight across from one another but, at 90° angle...you got it!

my wife just told me FOB stopped working again, so i already ordered a new batt see if that solve the issue. since i have the N54 engine i know that bmw scanner 1.4 wont do trick here, but will it work with other computers?

if i put a bmw scanner 1.4 on that car do i still be able to see and program other modules? like ZKE, LCM, IKE? i will try today btw
