I had harness short last month on my 98 744 , ended with this , the car can work but rough idle not accelerate, I changed the dme , ews and key with used from another 7s but USA market , mine euro market , now it shows codes that not comes previously ( post cat sensors , code no 1,2) the inpa value shows no adaption ( stays on zero )
Some one said that can I remove this chip in 2nd photo and install it on the new dme with return the old system ( ews and key ) so I can return to my vin and car specifications , any advise ?

you might have to get that DME coded to your car VIN
