    S EDC problem

    Hi everyone,

i got problem with s-edc (1999 750i) . I don t see any difference when it s on or off. The green light turns on on the button when I press it. But I don t see any difference. It s always hard suspension on the road. I can feel every small pebble when driving. I allready changed my pneumatic sls spheres and fluid is OK.

Any idea where is the problem coming from ?

    Thanks.

It's a sport setting for the struts
The strusts should become harder whn you press the button. Is your system perfectly working? No leaks?
Mine were going bad so i deleted the system all together by cutting and looping the high pressure line.
Check it out for leaks. Eventually they will go bad and replacing them it very expensive. At that point just get regular struts and springs then you good to go.

Ouch... No better news for me? Could it be edc module that gave up ?

That’s actually a really good price compared to stateside... check the prices on OEM and almost twice that... twice again for Genuine BMW... bookmarked for me.
So it depends on what you want this for. Ride quality? Function? OE outfitting?

Yes, it is a good price, and these guys have a good reputation in the e34 M5 and e31 crowd. It could be the module, they are cheap used, but I don't know how to test the functionality of the used modules.

Maybe there is a way to test the module with Inpa or another soft. Does anybody know how to do ?

Yes, I had both front struts done by them - difference was night and day!

Two years back I have replaced front SEDC struts with brand new OEM from BMW. Payed a fortune, buyt could not spot a difference when in Sport mode or not. Few weeks back I have replaced front springs and these made some improvement on ride quality, but that was all. Is it in SEDC mode or not, I would not tell if not looking at the indicator

Diagnostics does not pin point any obvious faults in the module also.
