New to forum, new to BMW

Greetings! I’m just getting started here and with a 98 750il that needs a little attention. I had been looking for a project car, figured out that I liked big cruisers, but wouldn’t settle for a slowpoke or anything too familiar, and this thing is a blast to drive, and not too scary to work on, so here we go! I’ve lurked awhile before deciding for sure that I wanted a BMW, signed up a little after getting one. Finding out all kinds of cool things here so far, and may have found my solution to the dreaded generic “fuel trim” codes by using info from here. More on that in another post, I guess in the 7 series section. Also was going to ask what’s a really useful scan tool to get, but it looks like I’ll start with that one in the group buy post, it has the options that I believe are what I need.
Oh yeah, I can’t seem to find the part where you can create a signature with your car’s information , so anybody? Point that out for me please
