Hello, I posted this here since both of my m3's are boosted and this forum is more active. Ever since I put my e30 s50 m3 back together, the gears seem to pop out of gear up on acceleration and/or when letting off the pedal while still in gear. I didn't have this issue before it went under the knife. I did a search but couldn't find any info. My motor and tranny mounts are new. I just ordered a new shifting arm bearing but it hasn't arrived. So far it has popped out of 2nd,3rd,and 4th.
96 M3, GT4094R, Arrow Rods, CP Pistons, Elring HG, cutring 87mm, 10 mm ARP studs,MS3pro, EMC Intercooler, n54 6 speed with Motiv twin disk, ZT-2 wideband, Zionsville Radiator, X-brace, H&R springs with bilstien shocks, QTP electronic cutout, Line Locks, stock exhaust 455rwtq, 453rwhp at 14 psi 91 octane.......684rwtq, 681rwhp at 24 psi running flex fuel E60 at time of dyno tune.
What is a shifter arm bearing?
Might just need the shift detents in the trans replaced. Common issue on the ZF trans. On my E39 I would have to hold the shifter in 3rd until the trans warmed up if it was below 0 outside.

My first M3 would pop out of 3rd gear until warmed up as well. New mounts didn't change anything.
Weird you're popping out of 2nd 3rd and 4th, usually it's just one gear that starts acting up.

It pops out them even when fully warmed and we are already hitting the 90's so it warms up fairly quickly. Once I receive the bushing, I'll also replace the transmission fluid.
