So I've done a lot of research and I am purchasing a M54B30 motor with 92xxx this Sunday, I almost have my motor already to be pulled.
A few things I've learned, I can swap the Harness and ECU "MS45 ?" and just "flash/Or delete" the EWS which is the security chip.
After small other research I can swap all sensors over from old motor to new and keep the MS43 n I've been told I will have more tuning abilities if I do so.
Any advice from above?
Plans right now are to just do the simple swap. Replace worn parts, clutch / flywheel and complete Rear Main Seal, Oil pan gasket, replace all seals or grommet's for the Trans/Trans Case and the rear end. Get it running and enjoy
DOES ANYONE have any advice for picking up a conversion kit for the Flywheel clutch combo, I'm running into a horrendous amount of headache looking for a clutch for this year as it looks like the clutch were changed from 04 to 05.
Then I plan on boosting, Picking up a CX racing FM Kit, and a T3 Header in a week. I will then have to research for a small turbo "looking for 5psi min" so that way I can control my boost of max 8-10psi.
Questions I have, Tuning options with the ecu? I have some tuning experience with a 08 MS3 but I was able to use a Access Port and then upload the files and modify on my laptop. Is there an option like this for this platform?
The M54B30 swap is common. Many use the MS43 DME and get the fueling tables updated for the 3.0L engine.
Because you want to turbo the engine and add headers etc, you are better off spending the money and buy a standalone DME. Far easier in the long run to be able to alter the tune for the equipment you are adding and tweaking.

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
After some Tuning research I've done today, Stand Alone is prob my best option. I was hoping to be able to either do the tuning myself or send the unit out. I wasn't trying to do anything crazy, but if I don't turbo the car will def have a lot more pep the the b25 motor.
