Top not working 100%-something different

Hi Folks, 99 323, top was working fine, than one night, half way up, she just quit....In the 2 years since, I have read every post about possible issues, downloaded all info, changed both top motors, changed module, have confirmed all micro switches are working as designed, watched all resync videos, have tried to do it in multiple positions. Have confirmed the fuse by battery is functioning. Same results. I can get it to power unlock from windshield, raise to the point where the rear part should raise so tonneau opens, but it stops at the off tension position. I can than do it manually, lower it into storage compartment, and get the tonneau to latch with the re-sync procedure. But that is it. I close it doing the manual procedure, get it above the windshield and it will power shut and LED on switch stops blinking when shut. But, continues to blink when open. I have tried to access the module with my 2 scanners. Both say they can't access the module. Have even tried inpa to access and no go. I just want this thing working properly, sick of doing it manually. I do hear a relay behind glove box clicking when opening/closing. I have never ready anything about that playing a part in the process. Any thoughts at all would be appreciated. I did take to an Indy, and they said the motors needed replacing. I know for a fact that they are working. I wonder if the HALL effect on the tonneau is so out of whack it can't communicate. Not sure what to do next. HELP!!!!
