Looking back at my notes, my first clutch went out suddenly while driving due to a failed slaved cylinder. That was 8 years and 67k ago. Not wanting to repeat that again, I wonder, are there signs of a failing slave cylinder?
I'm not getting any slippage on the clutch itself, but when I have the pedal depressed, usually in stop and go traffic, I can feel a slight "tremor" in the pedal as it goes between 1/2 and fully depressed. It's hard to describe the feeling: sort of like a grinding feeling coming through the pedal. It is pretty light; nothing overly alarming.
My first clutch went out at 102k, so this one isn't quite there yet. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
A failed slave will leak, really no other failure mode except perhaps to seize up. If it doesn't leak and moves freely it's good.

is it a new thing youre feeling? as the clutch mechanism is hydraulic, and vibrations end to end will be felt thru the complete system. could be master cylinder, clutch fork, etc.
