Help me price this classic blaupunkt stuff

Hey guys, been awhile. My family has owned a few e21's over the years and awhile back an old friend gave us this blaupunkt stuff and its been stored ever since. I was browsing craigslist today and ran across and old beat up pic of a frankfurt blaupunkt for 500! I remembered these and thought it might help pay for subframe reinforcement on my m3! do u guys have any idea what these can be worth? Thanks!

Damn man, that’s not just retro, that’s antique! Are the boxes sealed? Because unsealing them might be a bad move, but if they’re open and unused you should note the condition

The speakers have no seal and have presumibly been opened. I havent personally opened the stereo box, it has tape on it. I wouldnt be able to confirm that it hasnt ever been opened.

I bought one of these, but it is not working for me, besides it is code protected, and I don't have the code, and the code is not available. I was considering paying to have someone to remove the Eprom (which holds the code). But I think it also even has trouble powering up, so it is probably more than just needing the code.

An analog shaft radio would be better. This one I have, if it worked, would have a digital tuner though.

Oh yeah, looks like this thing would be perfect. Make me an offer! Once I have more of an idea what this could be worth, i'll post it in the classifieds, and then on ebay if no interests....but... money talks

This is more like "antique." Note the "small" chrome faceplate. This is a 1970 Blaupunkt. The Porsche people pay more for the correct ones for the year car they have. A 1975 radio will be cheaper than a 1970. But if you had a 1975 car and someone gave you a 1970 radio for free you couldn't use it; you'd need a 1975. And if you had a 1970 car you need to pay for the 1970 radio, not just use a 1975.

The top one sold for $149 shipped, and the lower one supposedly sold with an asking price of 295 euros, which is well over $300.

You could sell it on this forum, but they would need to black out the "BMW" label on it for sure. Maybe $300 I would say.

I sold a head unit like this (no speakers) , brand new and still in box for $250.00 three years ago, so $300.00 including speakers should not be a problem.

After looking on ebay a little bit, I found a couple for sale, and one sold. the one sold was in fair condition, 300.00. With mine being brand new in the box, with speakers. I'll be asking 500.00 to start and go from there. Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it!

I have a BMW Blaupunkt Bavaria S from 1982 e21 and it looks much more modern than what you have. They were the same from the late 70's, so yours must be older. It even looks older than early 70's radios that were installed in BMW 2002's.
The number on the radio tells you the year and model year of the radio. Search www.bmw2002faq.com for some good info on that and it is likely that someone there would want to buy yours.
