Hello, I have an 04 325ci and I was going down the I15 from Las Vegas to LA and I was hitting 90 in 5th gear, I wanted to accelerate a little faster so I gassed it a little bit, not all the way but a good amount like 3/4 throttle and I guess vanos kicked in harddddd and like I smelled seriously burnt clutch and now my clutch is slipping, did I really just burn it or is this temporary while it’s hot?
You may have burned the clutch but not by giving 3/4 throttle while at 90 mph in 5th gear.
I think there's something missing from this story.

This has to be a troll. VANOS kicking in harddddd? Like that VTEC yo!
On a serious note, one 5th gear pull won't destroy a clutch. It's likely been on it's last leg for awhile.

VANOS! Yo!
