2015 535d xdrive, what a surprise find with the M package, lucky me!

Congrats. I have the 2014 model 2 wheel drive without M package. No issues since I added 12K miles sofar since my purchase last year. 419 foot pounds of torque is a blast. Wish it wasn’t limited to 130mph but we are not lucky enough to have the Autobahn here so its not a big deal.

No M package here but loving it. Anything we should know and check different than gas cars. Mine has 41k miles on it.

when i was shopping for a 535, my friend (A red seal Diesel mechanic) told me these cars can have issues with DPF at high mileage. A solution is to remove the dpf all together when you start seeing those issues.
I bought the 535i, i test drove a 535D and the torque is just amazing. I didn't like the diesel engine sound. Otherwise an amazing car!
Congratulations!
I have a 2014 535d as well. 111000 miles and it still runs like new.
There will be issues with carbon build up, DPF filter and potentially sensors for the recirculation system but those things are manageable. It can be pricey, but my hope is more DIY options will come up in time. Some folks opt to remove the systems all together - not my cup of tea (environmental issues).
The torque and growl at high revs is something I did not expect - Just great. I drove a gasoline X5 and 5 series, they are not quite on the same league, definitely do not sound the same.

Thanks, if any issues for the future, i have hopefully long long miles to go but i do agree that diesel torque in this car you have to experience yourself, no comparison with gas engine.
Gas prices where it's now makes these diesels more fun to drive, 33mpg city-hwy mix amazing. Comfort mode i get over 37mpg on hwy.

What do you mean limited to 130 mph? Do you mean the usual built-in speed limiter at 155 mph? Never heard of one kicking in at 130 mph.
These videos were recorded in Germany with a 2012 F10 525d, i.e., the four-cylinder. It can go 150 mph GPS measured as you can see.
I am pretty sure your 2014 535d is limited at 155 mph (156 mph = 250 km/h to be specific) - not that it matters here.
