WTB - OEM used exhaust tips or mufflers for 840

If anyone has used mufflers or the tips for an 840 I am interested. I want to replace the tips on my Remus exhaust.
If you have any suggestions of where to get replacement tips that look close to stock 840 tips, please let me know.

Yes, but they were square for the 850. I would like the round ones for the 840. It was not too bright to toss my old mufflers when I had the Remus installed.

I actually bought a whole car to get my chrome tips Rick! I was offered a cheap '95 Canadian 840ci, same Oxford (I) as mine, with lots of suspension mods, and 3.15 LSD. Plan was to swap over the suspension and the diff, as I paid cash + my loose 3.15 LSD for the car. But I had a local buddy who wanted it, so after removing the round exhaust tips and the pot metal glove box latch piece, I sold him the car for the cash I had into it.... So in short, I paid $600 (LSD price I paid off ebay) for 4 tips and a tiny latch part!

But that's still slightly better than the guy here who bought the last known new set of tips for $700 a while back! At least his are new condition, as mine probably need to be re-chromed... Haven't tried bar keepers friend yet...

Thanks to your inspiration, I decided to clean up the tips I got from the Canadian car and install them today...

Barkeepers Friend and some 3000 grit sponge paper was the ticket, although I still have one tip that's unsaveable without rechroming. The others are decent, but not perfect.... they'll have to do for now. But it looks like we're both on the hunt for a nice set!

Don't want to step on rjbaren's thread, but since he's looking for a complete set, I'd be happy to get a better tip for my set! PM me with price and condition! Thanks toomanyparts!

Thanks man, they've been sitting on my work bench since December 1st!!! I had to clear the bench for a full brake overhaul on my 740i Sport, so that prompted me to get them installed! LOL I guess I should change my username to "toomanyprojects"

Rick, PM headed your way too...
