    Jacking and lifting points

    Hello,

my 316i e30 is actually like this on the steel jack stands for clutch replacement.
My e30 will stay like this for another few weeks because i want to switch to a single mass-flywheel and i am thinking if i'll switch to a lightweight flywheel and some other stuff...

At the rear i am on the real axle but at the front, does it risk to damage the spar on which the steel jack stands are (they are two others just behind the ones you can see on the picture, just for the support, not in contact with the car) ?

    Thanks.

You're fine. I like how you added the blocks to spread the load. Only thing I would have done different is to use heavy carpet as a pad to prevent nicking the undercoating.

    No e30s, again :(
that's a good idea. I never thought of putting carpet on the blocks I use under the car.
    No e30s again.

The carpet is a good idea, the blocks I’m not so sure about. It kinda looks like they supersede the bends on the jack pads themselves, which to me could allow the car to move laterally off of the frame/unibody rails
