Just replaced my BMW valve cover and eccentric shaft sensor... put everything back together and my car won't start I used my OBD scanner and got a fault code P1030 VVT- Actuator Monitoring Position Control, Control Deviation Bank 1. What does that mean? Did i reinstall the Valvetronic motor incorrectly ? Do I have to stop limitation or is the eccentric shaft sensor ? Or is the Battery that’s dying and needs a new one I had the card battery disconnected for 3 days.. but when I put the car in accessorie mode radio and lights work. If I had to say i think it would be the Eccentric shaft sensor or Valvetronic motor that’s causing my car not to turn on... i did reinstall the valcetronic motor 3 times hoping is reach the stop limits but.. but that didn’t work... any tips would be helpfull thanks.
Did you ever resolve your issue? I have a 2009 328xi doing the same thing
