fuel pump upgrades - require upgrading wiring?

I can't seem to find a lot of information on this topic, but from what I gather, the factory wiring is small for some of the pump upgrades. For 500whp, are there pumps that work good with the factory wiring, or should I spend the $35 on the wiring and relay upgrade that rally road sells?

Which pump is best for my goals?

Ideally use stock wires as 85/86 on new relay in the rear (maybe cut out some foam under the rear seat) and run fused lead from battery to 30 and then power the pump from 87. Ground the pump to the chassis, like a bolt under the rear seat.

It's extremely simple to run a relay to the pump since the battery is only 3 feet away from it. It's well worth the effort for the piece of mind. I bought a fan relay from Painless wiring to use for it and ran the wires in a mesh loom similar to the OEM stuff then followed the factory harness on the battery side of the trunk that goes under the back seat. Everything fits like factory wiring and looks similar.

Jegs et al sell fuel pump relay wiring harnesses for cheap. It is very easy to do and route the wires, as said above.
