scanned and it says, "speed sensor". Don't know which speed sensor it's referring too. any ideas?
Both the specific problems and the DTC can point to the sensor responsible.
Aside from the warning light, do you have any problems, or a specific trouble code from the scan?
There is a speed sensor on the differential for the speedo, cruise control, volume adjustment on the radio, speed-sensitive wipers, etc.
There are speed sensors on the wheels for ABS and traction control.

The car runs and drives like new. The only thing that don't work properly is the tachometer. When you start the engine it goes to 2400 rpm and stays till you turn the engine off.
Might be an idea to run the hidden instrument cluster test to check all the guages and warning lights are working as they should, running the test will swing the guage needles across their full range, you will see if the Rev Counter is capable of travelling over its full range.

ran the test and the tachometer stops at 2400 just like when the engine is running
