Thread: Pulled my head and found this...what is my best option?

    Tap water could contribute to the problem. Some water is fine and other water could have an unfavorable chemical or mineral component. The bigger threat is incompatible antifreeze. It’s not necessarily color based since the BMW stuff is blue but Zerez GO5 is very comparable and yellowish. Some others may be okay well.

    These cars have poor cooling systems. I bet you guys would buy an accurate digital temp gauge conversion... Anyways, running tap water is not recommended. Putting one (1) singular drop of dish soap in there is recommended though. (At least by me) This is basically water wetter, and helps the coolant stick to the material surfaces to remove heat.
