Which battery for 335i 2008 ?

I need help finding which battery is the best for a 335i 2008.
The one that came with the car lasted about 8 years ( 31,000 Miles ), after that one I changed it for a new one not from BMW and it lasted 3 years and less than 1,000 Miles ( the car has minimal usage).
It is normal for a battery to last that little or I might have a battery drain ?

Get a new battery of the proper size. Install it AND HAVE IT REGISTERED (super important). Then buy and use a battery tender for periods of long inactivity when the car isn't driven. Or only driven on short trips.

I have never had a battery last longer than 4 years in 50 years of driving. Must be the heat.

A thousand miles over 3 years is virtually just letting the battery sit for 3 years. Not many batteries will withstand that.
