Options for a Sport Wheel mount/adapter cover?

I got a wheel in good condition, it needs the cover that goes over the mount bracket. Right now you will just see a metal frame that mounts the wheel to the column.

What are my options? Is this something that would work?

No it will not work because what you are looking at is an actual hub adapter the steering wheel screws into. BMW cover is just a cover that goes over the steering wheel hub.
I think you can get a new cover from BMW or W&N, I recently replaced mine. I also got a new horn button part. I still have the old parts if you are interested but the tabs are broken on the cover and it needs to be attached/glued to work.

Wallothsech doesn't have it. Have no idea to find it from BMW. Is there a site for that? I just get new stuff, or dealer sites.

    Yeehaw! Yes that's it!
I just went to that site. I didn't realize there was a sub menu after steering to find more stuff! I missed it. Thanks a lot!

Max - would your collar make noise if it isn't glued?

(I'm pretty sure I will remove this wheel at some point in the near future so I don't want to use glue."

If it’s new it’ll clip in. Most of us glue the old ones because the tabs are long gone

without the tabs it would rattle. There is a way to tie it to the wheel (mine was attached that way) but it was still rattly.

If it does for some unknown reason rattle, a dab or two of black RTV wouldn’t hurt.

The new one won't need anything- it just snaps into place.

Mine is missing a tab or two and rattles a little. It doesn't prevent you from removing the wheel. I think a few dabs of hot glue or RTV would work fine.

By the way, what size socket do I need for an E21. I read 22mm for E30 but that might not work for E21. I have an 81
