    Hello,
I am considering to buy one ozone generator like below:
have you ever used it? do they work? someone was saying these ozone generators are a scam. If they are scam then why Amazon has 3500 reviews?

    https://www.amazon.com/Enerzen-Comme...dp/B00JAP7388/

Please advise so i can place an order, my car is all screwed up in regards to interior smell and dirt by previous owner.

    Thank s

The link is not working, but ozone generators do work. I used to work at a dealership and saw how well they typically work.

However, if you use a can of Lysol and spray into the vents (from the outside vents between your hood and window) for 20-30 seconds in each vent mode, you can clear any musty odor from the car's ventilation system. I usually follow that up with a good carpet and interior cleaning.

Unfortunately, your link does not work, but I also want to support the previous commentator and confirm his words. Ozone generators work very well. I also advise you to do a complete dry cleaning of the salon in order to completely get rid of everything that remains from the previous owner. I used a similar strategy when I moved into a rented apartment. Thanks to dehumidifiercritic.com I learned about cool air purifiers that allowed me to get rid of the unpleasant smell in a relatively short time. I think it will work just as effectively with the car. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you!

I once bought a car from a work associate, and he and his wife were heavy smokers. I had read that apples are a natural deodorizer, and I sliced up a few and threw the slices under the seats. In a few weeks all the smell was gone.

That said, ozone also works, and the combo of the two probably works better.

I don't want to judge, but why would you buy a car that smells so bad that you can't take pleasure in driving it? That's the first thing that I use to disqualify a potential automotive purchase, if the car stinks, it's not coming home with me. My father was a wholesaler in the late 60s and 70s, and cars that smell today will still smell tomorrow.
