Anyone ever have to replace the rear windshield in the E36 hardtop? I had my hardtop listed for sale when the back window shattered in December (not sure what happened, car was at my dad's). I didn't really want to put more money into it, but I am considering putting new glass and headliner in and then relisting it so it is ready to go for someone. (Also willing to part with it in current condition for the right offer! )
Is there a specific BMW cut of glass? For instance, I didn't see the option for this at a place like Safelite, only the coupe glass. Any chance it is the same? (I suspect the answer to that is no.) If not and it does have to be BMW specific, anyone have a part number? Or know any aftermarket replacement that is made like the topsonline soft top/window replacement? Any other advice/thoughts from anyone that has had to deal with this???
Thx so much in advance!

Good luck with this. I have always had a fear of trying to find the glass if mine broke as I cannot image there is much if any out there. It you do part out the rest of the hardtop, let me know.
Thanks @YattyE36! I am in Forest Hills, but the car and top are currently in Mountainside, about 15 mins down 22 from Nwk. I'll give Frank's a call and look into it!
@illiknight no problem he did my hard top glass when I had a vert

Thanks again @YattyE36!
In my universe, I would design the hardtop to take the same rear glass as the coupe. My life is so simple, yet I get so confused that simple stuff is so hard.

I have recently changed with OEM through a dealer. They did the work very perfectly.
