Hi there fellas! I've got a '08 650 LCi e64 US market, and have only one key, planning on making a copy but not sure what is the frequency for mine as there seem to be two options, with 315 mhz or 868mhz, do u have any idea?
Have you checked with a dealership yet? I know it would be expensive there, but then you would have another key that does work.
Nope...not without any vehicle information that would provide some specificity...like the last 7 digits of your VIN.
You can take your car's VIN and go to one of the VIN decoding sites then scroll down to see what your RADIO FREQUENCY is. In the US market it will probably be: "S876A Radio Frequency 315 MHz"
Or...you could go to one of the BMW online part database sites....enter the last 7 digits of your VIN, then go to the remote key diagrams and scroll down to the item number that is listed...it will probably also have the RF of the remote key in the supplemental column.
If you don't have either of the type of sites mentioned above URLs saved or bookmarked...try these two:
- www.mdecoder.com (VIN decoding site)
- http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/ (part database site)
