    We have an '81 at our dealership. Owner keeps a $499k price tag in the window to weed out the posers.

    I actually drove it a couple of miles once. In the late 90s. It was a bear to drive, heavy pedals and steering. Fast for its time though.

    Our local dealer (here on the other side of the pond) has two white ones. The old man /owner of the business bought 6 of them new in the early 80's. The two they kept have around 12k miles each. These should fetch, if they were to sell, way over the half a million mark. (I have a pic I took a while back if anyone wants to see them ). This particular dealer is one of the oldest BMW dealers in the world according to the Bmw channel. There's a video on YouTube.
