E39 Radio Install

I just recently installed a double din stero in my 2000 bmw 528i and it sounds great, however after driving I noticed my speedometer went out. Wondering why this happened and what I should check.

Most likely isn't related.
Do you have any warning lights on the dashboard? I believe one of the rear sensors is responsible for sending speed readings to your speedo.

2014 BMW 328i my radio is not working, we took it out but I still can not figure out which is the Serial number? Help please!!

Hi,

DefterIt - check the E39 section and post there if needed. Fitting an audio head unit won't make your speedo stop working.

Adriana4 - check in the F30/1 section to see if similar has been reported before. Saying the radio isn't working is too vague, you might have a faulty amplififer unit, loose connection to all speakers... Also, what did you 'take out' from the car ?
