    2007 550I V8 need location for Cam sensor Bank 1

    Need the exact location for the Bank1 Cam sensor on a 2007 550I V8. Cant you please help?

    Before I move your post to the correct forum......bank 1 is on the pass side.

    the are 4 sensors two in each side one I think is on the intake side top of vale cove? the other is on the lower side next to the exhaust.but those sensor are call crank sensor part number 7558518-02 are this sensor acting as cam sensor?

    I didn't bother looking up the crank sensor, your 4 cam sensors are all the same p/n.
    Your p/n doesn't seem correct. Yes, the intake cam sensor is on the top side of the valve cover.

    Thanks a million! The number i got is from the existing cam sensor the is on the car stamp 7558518-02 the sensor show as crank sensor.I purchase one part number su8893 it lock different from the one in the car? but is listed as a cam sensor. I will try and keep you posted. once again thank you!!

    well code P011 is fixed some how now I created two other code P0368 and P0016 is late I dont now if I connected all wires in place.

    I've posted this a million times. P-codes are useless. Get real BMW specific codes. And post the code WITH THE FAULT CODE DESCRIPTION. A number doesn't mean anything without a description.

    So hell0,Yes I am new to the forum Im don know my way around the forum and I don want to upset any body, but I need help After serve proudly in a military for many many years know I have to help my kids. So my2007 550Iv8 engine is having a lot of issues,I fix couple of sensors and know I have to replace the timing chain and all other parts the goes whit that Job. Question did any body have a good video or step by step on how to replace the timing chain on the 550I v8 engine
