2000 z3 roadster - I recently had rain get in the car from the roof. Since then my hazard lights stay on and the headlights stay on. I replaced both the hazard and light switches but it didn't help. The high beam will not work either. From reading other post it sounds like the LCM is bad but I can't even find where it is located on the z3 or if they have them. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
I don't think you have a lighting control module in the Z3. Look at the crash control module in the relay panel under the dash, its function is to turn on the flashers in an accident. You also have a low and high beam headlight relay but how all these are related to a water leak is mystery to me. No computer module in the loop, just switch to relay to lights.

Thanks for the reply Adker
It's been raining and I haven't really had a chance to get into it until today.
Do you know the exact location of the relay on the 2000 z3 manual transmission? I don't have a relay set where he shows in the video. I have looked all over and can't find anything for the location on my car.
For anyone else reading this, the crash relay on my 2000 z3 is behind the glovebox. Just remove the black piece from under the dash just behind the glovebox. Directly above the speaker in the kick panel you will see the relay.
I'll replace it and let you know if it fixes the problem with the flashers and headlights.
