will e24 sport seats fit into an E21

I've owned my e21 for about a year now. I've done a lot to it and I really like it so far. I'd like some comfier seats in it however. Will E24 sport seats fit into it with my current E21 tracks to even it out?

Any pics? Are they RECAROs? I was told in the past that the wider RECAROs that I have are from an E24 but on the BMW2002FAQ forum said otherwise.

They are not Recaros. They are the stock leather seats that came with an e24. I have the mounting brackets from my stock e21 seats and I think that they'll mount to these seats and go in pretty clean although a little wider than the stock e21 seat. s-l1600.jpg

Well I passed on the $1200 E24 and bought a set of 2006 tiburon seats for $200 and installed em into the E21 yesterday. i kept the stock perches intact and made my own bracket out of 3 inch 16 ga steel and for the inner sides I used a piece of channeled steel to mount to the existing holes and then mounted my new bracket and seat onto that. The result is excellent and now I don't slide all over the place. I chose the tiburon seat because it low to begin with and has no height adjustment. All total I paid about $220 for everything and it took about 1 hour per side to fabricate the brackets. c+4E7vdmRROAW81RckG%0Q.jpg

Thanks! with the price and rarity of E21 recaros or any recaro for that fact this is a pretty good option. I'll keep the original seats as I was able to keep the perches intact in case I want to go back to factory config.

I like the look of the original seats because they are very vintage. But they sure don't hold up, especially that horsehair seat base. You feel like you are sitting on a couch with broken springs.

Yeah those things are horrible seats. I'll put them in storage, I bet in the right hands someone could make em comfy again. Next up is the exhaust and maybe a header.......
