E30 M3 Sunroof would not open.

Hi guys, new member here.

I thought I would find a similar thread here but I've been searching and nothing; so I figured I would ask.


I bought a *new* 1991 E30 M3 a few weeks ago and found out that the sunroof is not working properly. It tilts up and down, but it would only open about 1/2" before stopping.


Has anyone run into this problem? If so, I am open for suggestions.


Finally, I look forward to learn more from this site on how to properly maintain and take car of my new M3. Cheers!

I havent had that specific problem but i have been in and out of the sunroof area so i know its easy to work around there
