Hi, new to the forums and haven't found a definite answer yet.
I have installed INPA and need to get a scanner, and for the life of me I don't know if pins 7 and 8 need to be jumped for the cable to work.
I have a 2001 530i post-facelift and was thinking of getting this cable: https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-BMW-INP...791648964#rwid
Any help is appreciated!
p.s. (Sorry for the post formatting just signed up...)

On my 2000 3 series I had to have 7 and 8 jumped. I would assume yours is the same but hopefully someone with a 5 series will chime in

Yes, E39 without 20-pin port under hood has to have 7&8 bridged/jumped.
