    Bmw 325i in gear rev limiter

    Ok, so I have a 325i which as you know can be put into the different gears as if a manual. How would I put it into first gear and rev it to the max instead of it stopping at 2k revs. When stopped I cant rev it more than around 2k ish, when moving it will go all the way up to the max. How do I remove this in gear rev limiter?

    Not understanding what you are asking here, so I am going to pose another question:

    1) At a stand still, with the clutch in, it doesn't rev over 2k RPM's?
    2) At a stand still out of gear and the clutch out, it won't rev over 2k RPM's?
    3) While moving, clutch out, in any gear, it doesn't rev over 2k RPM's?
    4) While moving, clutch in, it doesn't rev over 2k RPM's?

    Please tell us which number your are talking about, for that is what I failed to understand in your statement.

    He doesn't have a clutch. He's "brake-torqueing" his automatic, and without a speed signal, the engine will limit the revs to 2k.

    Ah, got it. Wasn't sure so had to ask those questions, but yeah his is hitting the stall limit on the torque converter at 2k for an automatic.
