Question Interested in a 2006 530xi MT Wagon with 140k miles. Reliability Issues?

    I'm interested in a 2006 530xi MT wagon for sale (seller's asking $7k):

Selling my 2006 BMW 530 xi 6 speed manual trans in very good condition !!

It runs and drives very good
    Clean inside and outside
    Good tires and brakes
    All wheel drive
    Sport package
    Cold package

    $7000 price is negotiable

The car is green with black interior. From the pictures it looks to be in good/great condition. I've never owned a BMW (currently drive a 2003 MT subaru forester with 175k miles) and am excited by this opportunity. I've been looking for a wagon, but haven't had much luck finding a manual, 4WD wagon until now!

The car has 140,000 miles and I'm worried about reliability and high maintenance costs in the future. What should I be worried about? Any typical issues?

1st time posting, apologies if this has already been answered.

E60 BMWs have now come down in price as to appear affordable, but this is not an inexpensive car to maintain. It is a far more complicated vehicle than your Forester. It's not unreasonable to expect that it will cost you at least $2000 a year to keep the bimmer on the road. If you're handy with a wrench, the cost may be somewhat less. I would scrutinize the maintenance records and run a Carfax on this car. If you decide it's worth taking a chance on it, invest $100 in a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified BMW mechanic. If the seller balks at any of this, walk away.

I actually bought a 2006 530xi MT wagon back in August with about 210k miles on her. Ran really well, very clean, good inspection, no issues. Beautiful car. Basically what I have found so far is that even with this highly functioning car, and the previous owner taking excruciating care of it, I have already spent 5k fixing various things. A small oil leak a few months ago led to four hoses, a gas pan, and various other pieces needing to be repaired, not to mention replacing a weary sunroof motor.
I love driving this vehicle. Nice acceleration, beautiful smooth ride, and tons of space, but at a price.

For reference I just bought a 2007 530xi 6 speed wagon with 170,000 miles for $4,500. Alpine white, overall really nice shape with a couple issues.
