    Active seat help needed

Ok, so after fiddling with the wires under my seats now my active seat pumps run. My question is what should they sound like? Mine gurgle and I can't feel anything happening on the seat. Is it possible they are dry? If so can you refill the solution?

The pump will run one way and then the other. It is alternating the bladders to move the base of your spine. You will not feel it unless you are sitting in the seat.

I was sitting in the seat. I tried it again this morning driving to work and could hear the pump but nothing felt. Ideas?

You could have a leak or bulge in the system. Visual inspection is likely required to be sure.
Officially the system is to be replaced in total as per the TIS “The pump unit and fluid bubbles must be replaced together in case of repairs.”

If you could make a watertight seal, it should be refillable. The question on that though is what comprises the water-glysantin mixture...

Less than a can of soda. I can’t really see what it looks like now, but I’ve seen a few out of the car. I think you need to get a 12 volt power source, put a 2 amp fuse in line, and hook it up at the base of the seat to see where your problem is.

Was this an original option on the car, or a retrofit?

OK. To get any further, remove the bolts to the front of the seat rails, then the rears, then tip the seat back. Remove the fabric cover if still present, so you can access the plate under the bladders, which is clipped to the seat springs. Once removed you should be able to see what the issue is.
