how do you know when the axle is in all the way? i would imagine its when the circlip is in, but i i jus replaced my front right axle again because the first one i replaced came apart and broke the axle housing/supporting bracket in less than 10k miles. when installing both of them, the circlip was in but the plastic cap on the axle is like 1/8 of an inch from being flush againt the supporting bracket. it goes over the end of the supporting bracket a bit, but it dont sit up tight against it. i can't get it to go any further.
Your talking the inside joint connection at the diff? If you had to pop them out using screw drivers then they need to pop back in you could look up the info in new 'tis, enter the last seven of your vin go the section 31 or 32 and see what it says
ya but the paasenger side doesnt go into the dif. it goes into a housing/supporting bearing. taking it out i used a pry bar and gave itna wack with a hammer. getting it as far in as it is took a bit. it wont slide right out. the circlip is definitely seated. just the plastic cap on the inside joint isnt covering the end of the housing and up tight to it. it goes over the end of the supporting bearing a bit its just not flush against it. i can't get it to go any further
