    2000 BMW 740i (E38)

    E38 2000 nearside rear door will not lock.

    All other doors lock with key or interior switch, but rear nearside door locking post does not go down, and is very stiff to push down, even then it does not lock. Any ideas please.Ken.

    Remove the door panel and vapor barrier. Inspect all lock linkages. If no obstructions to linkage movements, then issue is most likely within the door lock actuator
