330ci front bumper cover replacement ??

Hi Guys,
There are more u tube videos on pulling off a front bumper than you can shake a stick at, but try to find one that details removing the bumper covercand the parts that might possibly be broken. I have a 2006 330ci basic (vert), (it is a single piece no center piece)the drivers side fender cover will not snap into place, Im sure there are parts broken.

Hopefully someone can help.

Please explain what you mean by "driver's side fender cover". Are you talking about the bumper skin?

If so, there are little tabs which engage the bumper skin, and as I recall, the tabs are part of the bumper slide. Sometimes, the bumper skin itself is torn. If this is the case, you're left with a difficulr hack repair of putting a screw through it (FROM INSIDE, nothing visible, but not easy), or replacing the bumper skin, plug paint (expensive)

Or, maybe it's just the bumper slide that's lost it's grip? I think that's part 7 in this parts diagram:
