??about coding new injectors, and clearing codes

I need a little technical help. I replaced my index 9 injectors with new index 12 units. I have seen where others download injector codes to the ecu. How important is this. If I need to do this, how is the best way to go about it. Is there a free download of some sort I can put on my computer and download to the obd2.

Secondly, I have a Service Engine light. Is there an easy way to clear codes. I hope the injector work will clear the code. The last time I had a code it was a misfire code. The engine was running poor. I replaced teh coils, plugs and the engine ran well but the code came back. Then I replaced the injectors. I tried disconnecting the battery to reset but the code still exists.

The car is a 2009 335xi with 130k miles

You need to register the injectors clear faults with the correct tool

And if a tool is capable of coding the injectors, then it will surely be able to clear codes and probably a lot of other functions too.
