    2013 X5 E70 with Niche Targa M130 wheels - hub issue

Let's get this out of the way quick - I'm dripping wet behind the ears when it comes to aftermarket wheels. This is the first time I've purchased some.

That being said, I have a 2013 X5 (E70) that I bought mid summer last year. When winter came, I had the old worn tires removed and winter tires installed on the factory rims.

Rather than buying new tires and getting them mounted to the stock wheels, I figured I'd buy 'summer rims' and tires.

So, I found an ad on Craigslist, and took the plunge - I figured the only thing that mattered was the offset and bolt pattern.

Tried to install 'em today. Come to discover (through extensive research) that the hub on this vehicle is 74mm, and protrudes approx 10.5mm from the face of the rotor. The wheels that I bought have a 72.6.mm bore. And lucky me, I already purchased 28mm acorn lugs to use with these new wheels.

My question/problem is - what are my possible solutions to remedy this? So far, I've considered:

1> Buying 12-15mm spacers and grinding off the hubcentric lip, and then carefully mounting the wheels

    2> Having the wheels re-bored to 74mm

    3> Eating a bullet

I'm trying to do this as cost-effectively and as safely as possible, so these are my arguments for each:

1> I can get hubcentric spacers (with 40mm lugs) on Amazon for about $78.

2> I have no idea how much a machine shop would charge to re-bored these wheels (or if doing so is even safe)

3> I'm not hungry or ready to die.

What do yinz think about this situation? What's the best way to handle this without spending a ton of cash?

    Thanks!!

Just discovered that you can purchase adapter spacers to deal with this exact issue. Why I couldn't find that in the 3 hours I was looking for a solution PRIOR to posting this thread, I have no idea.

If anyone else is trying to go from the 74.1mm BMW hub to a 72.6mm wheel, this is what I purchased:
