Anybody tried the Lubegard 60902 in the transmission?

Back story: my torque converter is dying, I got the shudder on low RPMs.
I have been using the Lubegard 19610 Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx 2 Ounce 2 Pack for approx a year now and it's been working great. The problem is that you need to re-add it in every 4-6 months and it's kind of a pain on stands. Same company has a long term product for the same issue: Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz. , I wonder if anybody tried it? Would be great to make it last a year at least.
I know... I should just man up and get a new TC, the problem is if I started doing that I would end up replacing another 50 things there

I've pulled the trigger and put it in 10oz (approx 1/3 liter) of the Lubegard 60902.
You can feel some effect on it, the shudder got slightly better but nothing compared to the "Instant Shudder Fixx" from the same company. Instant Shudder really makes it disappear while this one is probably making it 20% better.
It seems that there is no cheap, long term solution. Either your keep putting in the Instant Shudder after every 5-10K miles or just replace your TC.
    Anyway, was worth a try.

I've tried both. The instant fix in the tube worked for 7k, the protectant did nothing for me. Only solution is a new TC. Sorry

I would not keep adding it. I read somewhere in their writings not to put more than 2 tubes in. That is a very concentrated friction modifier, and I'm not sure what it will do to the transmission clutches if in high concentration.

Agreed, I'm not adding anything else but a new TC at some point. My worry is that I get a new TC then a few months later I'd need a full transmission rebuild. Transmission is working just fine now, had 160K in it, who knows when it needs a rebuild.
I can feel some of the effect of Lubegard 60902, it is doing something just not enough.

I thought that same thing at 170k miles and mine went another 70k before needing a rebuild. Looking back if I knew that, I would have replaced it back then.

I've put more mileage in it with the Lubeguard, probably at around 300 miles since putting in.
It has improved a lot! Really makes a difference. The shudder is still there but significantly less, like a passenger wouldnt feel it. Previously it was almost violent at low RPM.
Of course, this is a band aid only but if I get a year out of it before replacing the TC this was all worth it.

300 miles isn't much but that's good news. You should at least get several thousand out of it I would think. All depends on the TC condition.

Im usually putting 5K/year only, if it works for that it was already worth it.
