    Staggered Throwing Star Tyre Recommendations

    Hey all,

    Have read through nearly most of the tyre conversations, however was not able to find an answer to my question. So the question is;

    On a throwing star staggered wheel system are you running (17x8J - Front / 17x9J - Rear) 245/45/R17 all around?

    Either 235/45 or 245/45 front and 245/45, 255/40 or 255/45 rear all work

    It depends on whether you want fatties out back.

    I run 235/45 front 255/40 rear

    Challenge has been finding 255/40s for the rear. Hence the reason to choose 245/45s front and rear! Any view on this?

    Not really, if thats what is available to you, then it is probably the set up to go with.

    I have run 235/45s and 255/40s on my staggered M Systems and it is a great set up though sometimes I think a square set up of 235/45s on the 8Js is perhaps a bit more balanced for daily driving. In general I am of the opinion that wide(er) rears on a street setup is somewhat over-done.

    Okay, so but you haven't run 245/45s on the rear 9Js?

    245's should be fine. Might have little stretch but will fit.
    I also run a 255/40 on a 17x10 rim with no issues so 245 on a 9" should be similar fit.

    Thank you! Going to fit one and see before I purchase. If anyone else have run this config please drop a note!
