A friend of mine who knows I'm a Bimmer fan has asked me for some advice. As a result of a death in the family she has a 2006 650i that she is trying to sell and she is trying to determine the value. She sent me pictures that indicate the car is in great condition. The problem is that one of the previous owners replaced or tampered with the speedometer so they have no idea what the actual mileage is

Any advice as to how to value the car and the best way for her to sell it? Would Ebay be an option?

For a valuation you could always look at KBB, and also take it to carmax. I took a '14 528 there over a year ago, they found body damage the dealer in Ft Myers had kept concealed, I got them to buy back the car!
Yea, kind of like buying a car with a rebuild title... But if the cars runs good, looks good, you should be able to get close to KBB number. Let the buyer know about the mileage, and tell him its an As Is deal!
