    Fog lights without low beam

    Hi!
I recently installed front fog lights in my -12/98 520 and everything went well, including coding the lcm.

My only problem is that the low beam won’t go off automatically when I turn on the fog lights.

Is it possible to code that like the feature that switches off the fog light when the head light is on?

I would really appreciate an answer since the combination of fog lights and low beam is illegal in Norway!

Didn't know you could get a BMW without fog lights.
On this side of the pond our fog lights turn off when we turn the Hi beams on.

However we can code that to be off. At least I have. Mainly since I have dual color fogs so flashing my high beams would change there color 🙄

    Hmmm... that sounds kinda interesting.

Yeah, the options on my car were basically limited to steering wheel and pedals!
My fog lights turn indeed of together with high beam, but not with low beam!

Flashing the highbeams to change the color on the fogs. State police would be more than happy to slap an unnecessary ticket in your palm out here in VA for that.

That's why I coded it to not do that. The fogs are just a simple dual color LED bulbs that change from white to orange. So they're white unless I cycle the fog light switch off and then on again.

But if you flash your high beams it temporarily turns off the fog lights and then they'll turn back on which has the same effect on the fog lights unfortunately ☹️ that's why I coded it so that they can be on at the same time so it won't change the color when I don't intend for it too.

OEM wiring and everything, just aftermarket light bulbs. It's these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2xYITAMOTOR...ss!60047!US!-1
