I have a 02 325Ci and just bought m3 xenon headlights and tried to install them but they were both flickering so I tried to do some research to see if they would work for the car and found that if the tail light ground is messed up then it can cause them to flicker so I'm wondering, instead of buying the bulb carrier for both sides could i just buy new led ones with the adapter and problem solved? also if i could get a clarification that the headlights would even work for it that would be great.

Flickering lights normally means a bad bulb so I would look at that. Also you will need to program the LCM so the "bulb out" light goes away on the dash.
If the tail light ground recall wasn't done, I am willing to be the airbag recall hasn't been done either. Go to https://www.bmwusa.com/safety-and-emission-recalls.html to check.
