    Motor Mounts

So this won’t be anything new to many but I just replaced my engine motor mounts. Can’t believe what a difference it made or the condition the old one were in. Engine sits much higher now as evidence how much I had to raise engine to put the new ones in. Check them motor mounts.

Now you probably need to replace your transmission mounts. With the engine sitting up higher, and your transmission likely lower than designed, the angle between the trans and the driveshaft will be off. That will tear up your guibo disk in a hurry.

Did that last week that’s what caused me to examine the motor mounts. All is well now.

Changing transmission mounts was the worst job for me on this car. Hated it!

Trans mounts will look squished as they age. Motor mounts can look torn or start leaking (they're fluid filled). And realistically, if they're original, it's probably a safe assumption that they need replacing at this point.
