I've always loved the look of the 7 Series BMW's. Lying down some heavy cash for a new one was out of the question and I know they aren't a DIY vehicle, but I could'nt help myself, honest it just isn't fair!!! Found this jewel on the facebook market place. Asking $7999, I was able to get it out the door for $6200. Had all the records from Carfax which showed it was never in an accident and had 48 of the 54 services provided by Newport BMW. All the issues (for the most part) that were problems had been fixed by the dealer. Drive shaft replaced, timing cover gasket replaced and the list continued.... The body was in very good condition and the interior was super clean. My wife say "okay, what's wrong with this thing"... Well baby, it appears most of this is electrical.. YIKES!!!! Well, I've been slowly fixing one thing at a time and she drives it everyday. Mechanically sound, just some little pains here and there with one electrical thing or another....lol
None the less, I just love this car and she can be challenging, but I'm always up for a challenge.

    Electrical issues

I have had electrical issues with my 328is. I started putting dielectric grease on connections whenever in working on her. Someday I'll get them all. That seems to help, a lot. Oh! And upgrading to a 120 amp alternator helped emensly.

Thanks for the tip... Dielectric grease to the bomb.... This thing has 33 systems, so no wonder they have issues. I just got the CD Changer working, which wsnt electrical as the previous owner thought. It just needed some lubrication for the cartridge as it didn't want to move up and down to load a CD.. I'll be changing out the Steering (air Bag) Clock Spring tomorrow and cleaning up the contacts for the steering angle fault correction... Just another BMW weekend...lol
