Can anyone help me with good instructions for the valley pan job.
I used the search bar and did not have success.
Thank you in advance
Some Places remain unknown because no one has ventured forth. Others remain so because no one has ever come back......

Thank you!
I did the valley pan last weekend - I took my time in my garage and spread it over a Sat and Sunday. I purchased an Earthquake XT battery powered ratchet which really helped a lot with this particular job. When I pulled the manifold out, debris fell into the intake ports on the engine which I ultimately vacuumed out with with a very narrow attachment before re-installing it. The debris consisted of grime and the broken up insulation that is the outer cover for the knock sensor cables. You need to be vigilant with the intake port inspection and cleaning before reassembly. I removed the rear coolant manifold rather than the water pump in order to remove the coolant pipes which are located under the manifold and over the valley pan dead center on the engine. I replaced all of the gaskets that this job allows you to. It takes a few days to get the coolant levels regulated - same as when I replaced the water pump last month. The coolant levels are holding steady for the first time in a while and the engine is running really well.
The one thing these don't cover that a FSM will is that you always torque inside to outside and opposites. Don't just tighten down and torque CW or CCW.
