OBC install

Hi all

I have an 18 button OBC I was hoping to install in my 96 318 vert.
Now I (think) know, that my model didn't come with all the sensors to support the functionality, but I still want to get the complete original look and install the unit. I already have the original tape in place.
So I thought I can settle for it showing the time only...
What do you think? Doable? If yes how?

Thank you for that. This is pretty robust, and to start I am not looking to support the entire functionality. Only getting electricity in and the time working, and wondering if this is doable, and is it as simple as giving it power?

This is doable and will function with the exception of Check Control. If the OBC is from a different model it may show inaccurate information and need to be coded to the car. Here is a DIY I wrote many years ago. Let me know if you have any questions.
