Hi,
Anyone know if it's necessary to disconnect the battery when removing the seats. I believe in addition to the seat motor there is a connector for the airbag sensor. I don't mind disconnecting the battery, however, I end up losing all my presets on the radio which I would like to avoid.
Thanks,
Just keep the key off. Depending on your year you will have one large connector or 4 or 5 connectors on the seat. The seats are held down with two 13mm nuts in front and two 16mm bolts in the back. The seat belt on the side of the seat is also a 16mm. Tip:Before removal of the seat, raise it up all the way so you have the easiest access to everything. Turning the key on with a seat removed will trigger an airbag light that will need to be reset with a scanner once everything is reinstalled.

Put the key in the house so you can't accidentally forget and that is as good as disconnecting the battery from an air bag light perspective. Leaving the key in the car and the battery connected is just asking for the light to be tripped. No big deal if you have an air bag light reset tool though.
Perfect! Thanks for your replies.
