Noob Question: Where to buy Geniune BMW parts

Hey guys, I am new here and I have been looking around (maybe not good enough) and I can't find genuine bmw part. I am looking for a Camshaft position sensor, I know to not skimp out on electrical parts so, that's why I am going for Genuine BMW. Also, its my first time buying a part online so, I wouldn't know where to look or what places to trust.Where do you get them?

    Welcome to the forum.
What code are you getting, not P0011? How many miles on the car?
FCP should show you which parts are genuine and which are aftermarket.

Many online vendors -FCPEuro, PelicanParts, AutohuasAZ, EEuroparts, ... - carry BMW genuine parts.
First, get the exact part # from realoem, com , then shop around for the part.

RmEuropean is another good source but you have to order over $65 bucks to get the free shipping.

There is also a BMW dealer that has -surprisingly- a good inventory and prices on BMW parts.
(parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com) . Check it out, and always, shop around.

I use "Husker BMW" in Lincoln, Nebraska, their price is very good.

A couple of O2 sensors (let alone 4) will take care of that real quick

Sorry for the late reply JimLev, as I mentioned before I thought I would get email notifications automatically when someone replied to the thread.

Anyways, to give you a full break down of what happening. I took into the shop like a month ago because the engine service light was on and it felt like the engine of kilter, it was rattling the whole car but, only in low gears like 1st and 2nd. Once I got up 30mph plus it was fine. The only thing was that an unusual amount of whit smoke would come out of the exhaust pipe. I'm assuming it was from unburnt gas. Once I got into the shop they replaced the spark plugs and put in a "tester" mass air flow filter that adjusted the fuel trims because the it was running slightly rich.

Now, I got the car out of the shop. The service engine light comes on again. This time I wanted to take matters into my own hands and figure it out if I could with the help of the forums of course. Since the I posted the SES has came on twice and I got the codes read at autozone for both time
    s

    The first one reads:
"ASE certified Master Technician have seen this issue on your type of vehicle and the most likely solution is: Replace Camshaft Position Sensor"
Side Question: How Reliable Is that statement
    Error Codes Read
    P1341
Multiple Cylinder Misfire with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1343
Misfire Cylinder 1 with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1345
Misfire Cylinder 2 with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1351
Misfire Cylinder 5 with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1357
Misfire Cylinder 8 with Fuel Cut-Off

    Suggested Parts
    Distributor

    The Second one reads:
"ASE certified Master Technician have seen this issue on your type of vehicle and the most likely solution is: Replace Camshaft Position Sensor"
    Error Codes Read
P1341 Multiple Cylinder Misfire with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1343 Misfire Cylinder 1 with Fuel Cut-Off
P0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1)
    P1345
Misfire Cylinder 2 with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1351
Misfire Cylinder 5 with Fuel Cut-Off
    P1357
Misfire Cylinder 8 with Fuel Cut-Off

    Suggested Parts
    Distributor

I think the P0171 comes from the shop changing the mass air flow. Also, I just wanted to know if the suggested things are correct. The SES turned off again and the car is 140k. Hope you see this!

id be looking for a vac leak. getting your own reader that shows live data will help you a lot in diagnosing this issue. it doesnt seem in any way related to a cam position sensor.

Well, the codes clearly state misfires on cylinders 1, 2, 5 and 8.
So, first I'd check the spark plugs and the coils on those cylinders. Replace them if necessary.
And no, it is NOT the camshaft position sensor.
