Hey there folks.
Just recently purchased a 1999 528i Wagon. It's had 4 prior owners. It apparently used to gave the rear leveling suspension, but someone has removed the whole system and replaced with sport or non-sport suspension. I have no idea which. But it's got actual springs and shocks.
Car has terrible rear end judder when hitting bumps or pot holes. Replaced shocks yesterday. Made no difference.
I have subframe mounts on the way as well as one of the tools to remove/install.
Do worn or broken subframe bushings cause this? The wicked judder and sensation of rear wheels hopping on the pavement with uneven road surface?
